so first, obviously, we wake up. :-) then i go out to feed my dog, named kipper. next my sister and i went down-stairs and started baking our family's traditional thanksgiving "pumpkin pancakes". they are really good (especially with chocolate chips)!!! we have them every thanksgiving morning. here's the recipe:
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
2 T. brown sugar
1tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
2 eggs
2 T. vegetable oil
1/2 c. canned pumpkin
mix dry ingredients. Then add vanilla, milk, eggs, oil and pumpkin. beat until smooth. fry, and serve with syrup or honey.
that's it!!! it is really easy...and really good!!!
after we ate, we started to bake some green bean casserole and pumpkin cheese cake to take to our friends house who invited us over for dinner. it's always more fun to bake while listening to music, so we turned on the radio to j93.3!!! they're playing CHRISTmas music now!!!
shortly after we got done baking it was time to go to our friends house. it was really fun there!!! i am completely stuffed!!! we had turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, crackers and dip, pink jello-ey stuff, corn, wonderful fluffy home-made biscuits, etc. then for dessert we had pumpkin pie, chocolate covered strawberries, pumpkin swirl cheese cake, a platter full of cookies, and lots of other good stuff. :-)
i just got home from our friends house, and i think that if ihad to eat 1 more thing, i would explode!!!
right now we're about to play a family game, so i better go!!!
overall, my thanksgiving went very well. except for the fact that my little brother started feeling sick at our friends house and is now laying on the couch groaning. :-/
i gotta go, it's my turn on the game!!!
