what we've been up to...

we've been getting really excited about CHRISTmas around here!!! i'm sure some of you have already heard a little about our CHRISTmas decorating and such on the family/my sister's blog. since y'all would probably get kinda bored if i just re-told exactly what my sister wrote about (and since she wrote it SO much better than i ever could have!!!), i've decided to do a post about our CHRISTmas cookie decorating.
every year we make CHRISTmas sugar cookies and have a blast decorating them!!! they usually turn out kinda sloppy, so this year we went out and bought some nicer cookie cutters and decided to only use white and blue icing. they turned out fairly well for the most part. as we were making them we were thinking that they weren't looking very good, but after we got the sprinkles on and they were completely done, they looked a lot better than we had thought they would. here's a few pics of the cookies:

as you have most likely read on e's blog we have also put up and decorated our tree. the CHRISTmas tree has also been a bit too junky in the past years, so we sorta did the same thing as the cookies with it. we went out and bought some new stuff and decorated in the theme red and gold. we tried to do it a little simpler and just more tastefully. we also decided to try stringing popcorn and putting it on the tree. now, any of you who have ever been to our house before knows that our whole family is pretty much addicted to popcorn!!! so, it was kinda funny that we hadn't ever strung it for the tree before!!! i think ewe have a new tradition!!! here's a pic of the tree when it was finished:

just thought that i would share with y'all what we've been up to!!! thanks for viewing!!!
