Thoughts on Wheat and Weeds-

Recently, my brother and sisters and I have been planting in the garden. It is so exciting to see the new little sunflowers start poking out of the ground. My little brother is thrilled. :) We've just started, and it is already hard to keep up with the weeds!! Man, I wish that I could turn the weeds into flowers......Haha, nice try. :)

This Sunday, one of the preachers was talking about the parable of the sower & the seeds. The preacher talked about how the harvesters wanted to pull the weeds, but the owner of the fields said to wait till harvest time. If the harvesters pulled the weeds now, they would pull up the wheat as well. The owner said to wait till harvest time, then they should gather them both at the same time, and cast away the weeds.

It got me thinking about how we are the wheat, and with God's help, we can transform the weeds (unbelievers) around us into wheat (believers). We can do this by sharing God's word and the plan of eternal salvation to the people around us, so that the harvest will be plentiful, when the time comes.

Recently, I've been trying to get up enough guts to witness. I'm so glad that I found God's forgiveness, and I know that there are people out there who need it, too. Maybe, they're just waiting for that push, by someone coming up and talking to them. Maybe, they can't even see that God's forgiving arms are stretched out to them. Maybe, they just need to be reminded of their need for Him. They just need to know that if they come boldly before God's throne, with a heart of repentance, they're sins will be cleansed and they can have a personal relationship with Him. But how can they know, unless they are told?? And how can they be told, except by us believers??? (Romans 10:14-15)

Soooo.....right now, I'm just trying to hand out tracts. I think they are a good way to start. :) It's easy to sit here and type about what I need to do, but it's reeeeally hard to do, when it actually comes down to it. I want everyone to be able to experience this victory in Christ, which I've won!! I want everyone to see His outstretched arms, and to run into them.

Psalm 96:3 "Declare His glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people."

Anyways, that is what I've been thinking about lately...

God continues to show His greatness!!
