Everyday Gifts. {five}

Do you ever wonder if the small things you do each day make a difference? I do, so I was greatly encouraged today by reading that the most insignificant acts can be a blessing to others - if done in the right attitude.

If it falls your lot in life to be a street sweeper, sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures, sweep streets like Beethoven composed music... Sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to pause and say: Here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well.
(Martin Luther King Jr.)

These are the gifts I found today...
  • a peaceful morning thick with fog.
  • dew on the "berry" bush.
  • a Monday with no school. (yay!)
  • making pinecone flowers with my creative younger sister.
  • homemade iced coffee.
  • feeling the piano keys under my fingers.
  • tasting chocolate chip cookie dough.
