Everyday Gifts. {three}

A sculptor was once asked "How do you make an elephant?"

"Oh. That's easy," he replied, "just get a block of marble and then chip away everything that doesn't look like an elephant!"

Well, that's what God wants to do with us as His followers. Take us as we are, and chip away everything that doesn't look like Jesus.

Here are the blessings that I've found in today:

• being huddled up in a blanket and laughing with my sisters.
• the effect "cross process" on picnik.
• roasted, crunchy pumpkin seeds.
  

• riding my favorite horse, Ollie, at the horse farm down the road.
• smelling burning leaves. (and pine straw.)
• the bookmark that my good friend made for me.
