Wow! I can't believe that I'm only on the third accomplishment. :(
I kinda have a hard time staying focused on books, so they usually have to be very adventurous or mysterious to keep my attention. I rarely find a book that I can't put down after I've started.
One of my friends let me borrow a book called "Alone, Yet Not Alone". When I first started out (during the school year) I read a chapter, and it seemed all "flowers and butterflies", so I got extremely bored and decided that I did not like the book. I wanted to return it, but was scared that she would ask what my favorite part was, and I would have to tell her that I didn't actually read it (and that would be extremely embarrassing. :D) So, it became one of those things that I could do in the summer, when I had more time.
So...summer came. It was sunny out, and I decided that I would go outside to read the book. Okaaaay, I decided to go outside and try to get a tan. :D The only reason I took the book out was so that I could have something to do while "tanning".
Believe it or not, while I was "tanning" I somehow got sucked into the book!! What I thought to be "flowers and butterflies" became mysterious/adventurous!! I LOVED IT!!!
After reading the book, I came inside. I looked in the mirror and realized that I had not tanned at all, but instead got a sunburn. Aaaarrrgggghhhhh!!!!! At least I found a new top 10 favorite book!!
All this being said, I would highly recommend this book. :D
So, that's my 3rd summer accomplishment!
