Turning wheels.

Isn't it fun to be around people who are younger than you? It's so amusing to watch the wheels turn in their heads and you know exactly what they are thinking, because you thought that once too.

Tommy is going through a stage right now where his wheels are really turning. Yesterday, he said that we should turn off the flashlight because he wanted to conserve electricity for those who are still on earth after Jesus comes back. I don't know where he got the idea about conserving electricity, but you can tell that he is really thinking things through.

He has also been using some "big" words recently. Sometimes you will be carrying on a conversation with him, and then he throws one of his words out and you try not to laugh. :) Here are some examples:

"Livy, you are about to be blasphemed, 'cause this is amazing."

"Mom, you and Dad are welcome to come and live in my house when you begin your decaysion."

(as we passed by a football field) "Hmmm...looks like a very competitious place."

Laughing at the words Tommy says and the way he processes things makes me wonder how God views our thoughts. Even some of the things that seem the most important and complex to us are probably nothing more than trying to "turn off the flashlight to conserve energy for the future" - a worthless effort.
